What I loved was how she was very honest about the struggles she went through as a black child and how each time she was growing up she always had the desire to educate herself in a lot of issues.

This book was eye opening. From a young, misinformed girl/young woman into an all out force of intellectual brute strength - all of her experiences are all too familiar to Amerika’s black and brown population which reminds me that as much as things change, somethings seem to stay the same.
