i hate xenoblade chronicles 2

Please treat this thread with spoilers, thank you. Which sucks because this was one of my most antcipated games on The Nintendo Switch, as I am a sucker for rpgs. You can significantly cut down on the time it takes to kill enemies by setting the game difficulty to easy. Both the retail and digital editions contain a download code for packs 1-4 of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Expansion Pass.

They can take you hours to do and sometimes field skills will block you from completing a side quest because you haven't fully leveled those up. If you think this game is great, than that's cool! They were a total ass near the end. It is, the battle system basically plays itself.

Sometimes you're required to use diving spots to get these items, and thats more trial and error. Overall though it's a good RPG thats managed to keep me engaged, wasting too much time doing stupid stuff I needn't do, laughing, and just flat out enjoying my time playing it. Overall, if I had to list a flaw I really don't like, it's Tiger Tiger. I’d definitely buy another one. For example in chapter four, I needed to infiltrate some kind of factory. It treated you like it was baby's first rpg.

No where near as bad as the Sonic Adventure series, but pretty close.

The gameplay is tedious and monontonous. I've scraped this game so cleanly sidequest-wise thus far that what's left is basically connected to affinity charts, which can sometimes take a while to fill out due to the requirements sometimes being vague.

But if it's like the sequel then maybe not. They haven't lost out on anything for making it, except maybe fans of the prior games in the Xeno loosely thematically related franchises that aren't willing to buy a new system to partake in the games.

I had this exact issue in Dragon Age: Origins, the auto-attack is boring. Monolith Soft has been doing their thing for like 2 decades now, with ~half that time being under Namco Bandai. The fact that you actually think you're meant to take on monsters like the level 81 Territorial Rotbart in Gormott at the beginning of the game is so hilarious and just shows how little you actually know about this game.

This is a game that could have been a classic like the previously mentioned. Why? I’ll get it later. Also, I believe it's the best selling game in the series so far, and in its first 10 months the Switch is one of the fastest selling consoles in history, meaning many consumers definitely don't find it unattractive. Mainly because you get [some] awesome blades but often I find myself with them on the characters I don't need or would use them with. The music made me love an ice and snow level. Xenoblade 2 is awesome. Leveling can take up to an hour or so per level.

Overall though I like the system. One of the best RPGs of 2017 yo. What is so fun about watching your characters using auto-attacks while the only thing you do is issue commands, sometimes I just watch my characters attack without any real input. You'll be on a wild goose chase looking for these items without a proper guide. Gather these allies, bond with them to increase their power, and utilize their special ARTS to devastate enemies.


I say it's no Ni No Kuni because it doesn't have the same level of finish or charm. So... do you think I should avoid the game or try it?

Xenoblade 2 is a really good game.But compared the story and characters to Xenogears and Xenosaga it´s quite laughable. Because Shulk is kinda boring, and it's taken me ~3 seconds to figure out that the protagonist in Xenoblade 2 is *incredibly* irritating (watching like 10 minutes of gameplay was all it took) so even I hated all the other characters in X (which I don't) it the semi-custom one is already a large improvement. It's like you have to go through a hundred obstacles just to get something accomplished. i see a wall of text with you ranting about how much you hate Xenoblade 2 and and at the end of it you say. BOTW and Mario Odyssey just sealed the deal for me. A nintendo game at heart? Not only that, but it also makes the world feel a bit more alive, with high level predators and enemy types that would, naturally, be the stronger part of an ecosystem. I really can't stand the stupid squiggly colored lines that connect you characters in battle.

Lately I find myself shooting for a special and when I get one it's not the class I want for that character. Yes I know, rpgs, escpcially ones made in Japan tend be very grindy, I'm okay with grinding in rpgs like the Tales games and Persona.

Xenoblade X gives you a semi-custom avatar, with 6 classes (depending on how you count) that you can switch between at for free at no cost, and if you max one out then you can use it's weapons and skills while in a different class. Xenoblade had an awesome one but still pale compared to the predecessors. I spend waay too time on this stupid game! All the content in any game should be engaging and RPGs probably have the lowest % of compelling content.

Though I have thought about riding Dromach around because it seems to covers more ground than Rex. More power to you. I think making the blade transfer orbs more available to allow players the choice of freely putting blades with their appropriate drivers would do wonders.
