While we are all experiencing these days indoors in different ways… some may exercise on a daily bases, many work from home, some may use the time to meditate or read, to launch on the couch and enjoy some Netflix or TV, others take extra care of their beauty routine, some video chat, play games, or they may express them selfs in art or newly discovered hobbies, some may even spend hours on the phone with their loved ones… there is one thing though, I am pretty sure that we all have in common these day…
we are all dreaming of better days to come.
What a scary and uncertain time we are living in right now. Never in a million years would’ve we guessed that we would ever have to experience something like this, right?! But you know what, if there is one thing that I firmly believe in – it is, that truly everything happens for a reason. Even if we can’t see the outcome and the bigger picture just yet, as it looks like this crisis brings only the negative aspects with it – I strongly hold on to the thought that everything will be fine. No matter the situation, it is super important to always try to see the good and the positive in every situation!
In my eyes, and I am sure many of you can actually agree with that, the world, we, needed a strong break. As profound and crazy this may sound, because a lot of people are suffering right now, even have to face death or the loss of a loved one, which is simply terrible. I strongly believe Mother Nature choose this pandemic for us to press the “PAUSE” button. The world, our world, has been just moving too fast, to hectic, to stressed into a direction in where there is no future for us. Into a direction of complete insanity!!! So, as uncertain and devastating this situation is for all of us, we need to use this time to come out stronger. To rethink. To go inwards. To do differently…
I hope, if you are reading this, that you and all your loved ones are healthy & safe – and that you take extra care of yourself these days. Make yourself comfortable and cozy, create an enjoyable environment for yourself, eat healthy, drink plenty of water, get a great amount of sleep, stretch, stay of social media and try to detoxify your system, press your own personal reset button. NOW is the time to heal yourself again! You’ve been complaining about so many things the last years, now is the time to change something. Set new intentions. Rethink about your life and future… I truly hope you use this time to really focus on what’s important to YOU now. Read or even write that book, start with Yoga or meditation, paint, learn a new language, research, make art, play games, learn a new way of being, dare to dream, face your shadows, work on yourself – for yourself, dance, call your family and loved ones as much as you can, cook, bake, do whatever makes your soul truly happy, open your window and listen to the birds sing… HEAL yourself and just be here – in the NOW.
May we all come out of this stronger, wiser, healthier and filled with an endless amount of love for us and our fellow human beings. May we appreciate the small things about life more, and may we take extra care of our health and planet and the things surrounding us.
In the meantime, sharing my favorite quarantine essentials to stay healthy, comfortable and cozy these days below.
