Makeup has always been one of those things I just genuinely enjoy. There is just so much you can do with it… – you can underline natural beauty, create a dramatic look, correct little imperfections and even paint a whole different face dimension. But as much as I love wearing/applying makeup,- my everyday look needs to be 2 things – NATURAL & QUICK. Especially during the day, I love my all natural “no makeup – makeup look”.
Below you can find my easy to recreate steps for an all natural looking everyday makeup, that doesn’t take longer than 10 mins + I’ve linked you my exact products I use.
________________
Ready, set, go …
Step 1: Hydrating
First thing I do before using any of my products, I apply a good amount of hydrating face cream on my face + 1 pump of my eye cream right under my eye area. During the colder season I love to add a Serum to give my skin an extra hydrating boost.
How to:
Take one to two pumps of the creme and apply evenly. Add eye cream and gently tap into under eye area – from the inside, out!
_____
Step 2: Primer
Just a couple of yours ago I discovered that using makeup without applying a primer underneath is kind of self- destructive. Primer protects our skin and layers a base coat on top of it so that dust, dirt and makeup can’t sink into our pores. It protects our skin, while it visibly minimizes the look of pores. PRIMER IS A MUST!!!
How to:
Put a small amount of the primer on your T- ZONE and apply evenly.
_____
Step 3: Foundation
Key to a great natural makeup look – the right foundation + the right shade. I’m loving Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, it is my holy grail since years (you can read a very detailed post about it here), but I do like to switch from time to time – depending on my skin color and season. If you feel like you need guidance on a great foundation, go to one of your local Sephora or Douglas stores and let a makeup artist assist you with finding the right texture and foundation color. You want to make sure it’s all natural looking and not cakey.
How to:
Use a brush to blend in. On your forehead, brush back and forth. On your cheeks and chin, simply brush down and away from the center of your face.
_____
Step 4: Concealer
To get that “wide awake”, “open eye” look, I love applying concealer on my under eye area. Great to cover up a lack of sleep & dark circles.
How to:
Place 2-3 drops of concealer under your eye area and tap in with your finger tips until even. From inside to the outside.
_____
Step 5: Powder
Giving my foundation a perfect finish with a hint of my favorite finishing/bronzing powder. Setting powder should always be added after foundation and concealer but before lip and eye makeup.
How to:
Use powder brush and apply onto your entire face, mainly focusing on your T-ZONE.
_____
Step 6: Mascara
The only thing that I highlight the most during my natural makeup look, – my lashes. When it comes to applying mascara, I love layering several coats. Long, shiny eyelashes are key. On a side note – mascara was my very first beauty product I ever owned – so I have this thing with lashes since the beginning you know. 😉 I am currently using Revitalash mascara, but vary from time to time between the once I linked below.
How to:
Apply 2 to 3 coats, let dry for several minutes and before finishing your makeup – put on another coat of mascara.
_____
Step 7: Eyebrows
Love filling in some cabs and scars with a eyebrow pencil and eyebrow gel.
How to:
Fill in any sparse areas with a eyebrow pencil by softly stroking small lines onto your brows, to mimic your natural hair. Finishing off with brow gel (just like you use hairspray to set your hair, eyebrow gel is used to secure your brows in place).
_____
Step 8: Blush
Last but not least, the finishing “fresh face” tool, – a beautiful rose blush. To get those fresh looking cheeks, I am currently using Tom Ford, but also love Benefits iconic dandelion blush.
How to:
Apply one brushstroke directly onto your cheekbones.
_____
Step 9: Lips
Loving several lip combos, but usually go with my go-to lipgloss from NYX. Been using this one for years and I’m still obsessed with it. Make sure to get “Tiramisu”, – so tasty.
How to:
Do I really have to explain how to apply a Lipgloss?! No, right hahaha.
_____
And weeeeee are done, 10 mins later – all ready to go.

Hallo Maya,
<3 xx
