My most requested breakfast in the past weeks… Well, probably because I’ve been eating it almost every day. What can I say, it is just too damn good and it is for sure one of my favorite go-to meals in the morning, no matter the season. Wait, hot oatmeal during Spring or Summer you think? Uhhhhhmmmm HECK YESSSSS – this comforting “all YEAR rounder” is literally the best energizer to get you going aaaaaand it is proofen that hot, cooked meals are wayyyyy better for our digestive systems than cold meals. Try it out for yourself – this classic, yet very variable oatmeal is THE perfect breakfast if you are craving a healthy, nutritious, yet super delicious start to your day.
What you’ll need
- 1 cup (50g) gluten free oats
- 2 1/2 cup oat milk
- banana
- coconut flakes
- hemp seeds
- almonds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Take your gluten free oats, oat milk and cinnamon and put it all in a pan. Cook it for at least 5 mins – make sure to stir every other min. Take pan from the stove, and place your cooked oatmeal in a serving bowl. Let it sit for 3 more mins so that the oats are properly soaked into your oat milk. Once your oatmeal is all soaked in – take your hempseed, coconut flakes and almonds and properly topp it off! Of course you can be as creative as you’d like with the toppings. Used cacao nibs, Chiaseeds or any other Superfood that coms to your mind – I personally just LOVE the combination of the 3 toppings I listed above. So, try it out this way and vary this recipe as desired… You can even add a little sweetness if you like, simply sprinkle a little maple syrup or honey on top and his baby is ready to munsh on.
