I’m currently getting ready to take off for LA tomorrow and that means major packing is happening at my casa. I’ve become quite a packing pro over the years of traveling, and thought I’d share my most important packing tips with you that make it a lot easier to get ready for any trip.
Checklist.
It depends on how much time I have beforehand, but I usually make sure to start my packing process with a checklist. Creating a packing list is a fail-safe way to ensure that you never, ever forget something important.
Plan ahead.
Packing for a bigger trip can sometimes be a little intimidating, I always try to plan out some outfits before I go anywhere. I love to do a little fashion show beforehand, so I know I’m packing the right things. It really makes a difference if you take the time to actually try on some looks and see what works and what doesn’t.
Prep your carry-on bag.
When it comes to traveling I always keep my carry-on bag fully stocked with all my must have travel essentials + my most important personal items. That way it’s on hand and you are assured that all your valuable items are with you at any time during your flight.
Checked luggage.
For my upcoming trip to LA I selected a few of my favorite items I thought would mix-and-match. I usually only pack pieces that go with more than one outfit. Unless it’s a special dress or jumpsuit. It makes things so much easier if you let go of the idea that you have to take a different outfit for each day. The key to packing effectively is selecting versatile and interchangeable pieces.
Happy travels!
